A Resignation Letter is a formal letter prepared by an employee when he plans to leave the job. Resignation Letter Format
The Resignation Letter follows the same format as that of a formal business letter. The letter head contains your name, designation and complete address. Leave a single line space and mention the current date. In the next section, mention the name of the boss or the manager, company name and the address to whom you are writing letter. In the next section, include a one-liner subject and a relevant salutation to the addressee. Now begin with the body of the letter.
The Resignation Letter consists of three paragraphs. The first one states information about you, i.e. your name, position, department, etc. Also, mention the last working day in this paragraph itself. The second paragraph deals with your learning from the company. Write about the team you have worked with and related projects. You can also mention about the work culture, the environment and flexibility in the company. The last paragraph must end in a positive tone and ensure that you will continue to work with full dedication till the last working day. Further, mention that all the pending work and projects will be completed timely. Add your email id and contact number in case of queries. Lastly, sign off the letter with your name and designation.
